In its drive to introduce a transformative shift in the management of electoral processes in the Sultanate of Oman, the Ministry of Interior launched the Intikhab application in 2022. The initiative enables citizens to cast their votes electronically in the elections of the Shura Council and Municipal Councils, reflecting the government’s commitment to adopting cutting-edge technologies that strengthen national participation.
